I play with my hair color a lot.
I am a writer of fiction and a lover of coffee. I adore poetry, and I’m working hard to be better at it. I love the spoken word and performance art.
I earned my MA in Communication Studies at the University of North Texas, which informed the basis of my feminist leanings and intensified my fascination with language. I work in assignments in Housing at UNT, and I spent many years teaching public speaking at various local community colleges. Basically, I spend most of my waking hours around college students. Hilarity ensues. There’s often cake. Sometimes crying. But mostly cake.
I am a reader, dancer, dreamer, thinker, runner, and cook.
I love Jesus. I love the idea of the church. I hope for the day when the idea and the reality are more closely matched.
I like to join in the fun of synchroblogs, celebrate book launches, and occasionally guest post. I am an avid fan (and occasional winner) of NaNoWriMo. I am a member of the writing community via Andilit, a supper club, and an in-person writing group.
And I’m caffeinated. Just all the time.
